AI-Visibility-Audit

Does AI recommend
your company?

AIVISIBLE examines how twelve leading AI models perceive your company – in German and English, in your markets worldwide. Summarised in a premium report that shows where you stand and what to do.

“Which law firm in Munich specialises in employment law?”

One question. Three names. Is yours among them?

Free quick check

Is your website ready for AI?

A technical quick check of your website – real and instant: access for AI crawlers such as GPTBot, ClaudeBot and PerplexityBot, llms.txt, sitemap, HTTPS, Schema.org structured data, Open Graph, language attribute and heading structure.

The quick check does not query any AI models. How twelve models actually mention your company is shown by the paid AI visibility audit. Up to three domains per visitor.

The shift

The answer replaces the list of results.

01

Yesterday

One search, ten links. The prospect compares on their own, clicks through websites and forms a view.

02

Today

One question to ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity – for instance: “Which law firm in Munich specialises in employment law?” The answer names one to three firms.

03

The consequence

Whoever is missing from that answer is never even considered – regardless of how well the website ranks on Google.

Generative Engine Optimization

What GEO means.

Generative Engine Optimization – GEO for short – describes how companies appear in the answers of generative AI systems: whether they are named, in what position, in what context and with which facts.

Whereas classic SEO aims for positions in search result lists, GEO is about language models understanding a company as a relevant, trustworthy address – and describing it correctly. Without clear, machine-readable information, models pass over a company or repeat outdated and incorrect details.

Market development

A field that is coming of age.

The early phase

In 2024 and 2025, optimising for AI answers was new territory – experimental, modest in effort and a clear head start for early movers.

Professionalisation

As AI assistants are used more widely, agencies, corporations and specialist providers are investing increasingly in this field. Competition for visibility in AI answers is growing and entry is becoming more demanding.

The assessment

In many places classic SEO delivers fewer direct visits, because AI overviews answer questions immediately. Those who understand and shape their visibility in AI answers early are present where decisions are increasingly prepared – in ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews.

Scope of services

What AIVISIBLE does for you.

Multi-model analysis

Twelve AI models, queried repeatedly: we measure the share of relevant industry questions in which your company is named or listed as the top recommendation.

Machine-readable facts

Drafts for llms.txt and JSON-LD (schema.json) in the root of your website – so AI systems can capture services, locations and contacts correctly.

Authority and context

We show which sources the models rely on and how your company can be positioned more clearly as the address for your field in trade publications and knowledge sources.

Qualified enquiries

AI recommendations arise in an advisory context. Being named there reaches prospects at a moment when they are already preparing a decision.

Technical implementation

Structured data following Schema.org and llms.txt to current standards – as a ready-to-use template for your web team or, if you wish, with our support.

Ongoing observation

AI systems change constantly. Regular re-audits make developments visible and show where competitors are gaining ground.

Method

Twelve models. One transparent method.

Every question is asked several times, every answer assessed individually – and all raw data remains documented.

  1. 01

    Profile

We capture your company, services, target markets and key competitors, and record a block of facts as a reference.

  2. 02

    Question set

From this we build a set of realistic customer questions in six categories: direct search, recommendation, comparison, local search, problem and trust. Neutral questions contain neither your name nor your domain.

  3. 03

    Querying

Every question is put to the twelve AI models in German and English, for the selected markets – and several times, because AI answers vary.

  4. 04

    Assessment

Every answer is recorded: top recommendation, mentioned, domain only or not mentioned. Plus list position, cited sources, competitors named and a check for incorrect facts.

  5. 05

    Index

All neutral answers combine into the AI Visibility Score – overall, per model and per question category. All raw answers remain documented.

What is Generative Engine Optimization?

GEO is about how companies appear in the answers of AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity – whether they are named, in what position and with which facts.

Isn't classic SEO enough?

SEO remains important. But more and more questions are answered directly by AI systems that name a few specific companies instead of listing links. A good Google ranking does not guarantee a mention in those answers.

Which AI systems are tested?

Twelve models from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, Perplexity, Meta, Mistral AI, DeepSeek, Alibaba, Moonshot AI, Amazon and Cohere – including Perplexity Sonar, a system with live web search.

Why do the models answer differently?

They differ in training data, architecture and whether and how they search the web live. That is why we test every model individually and repeatedly.

Do the results match what users see in ChatGPT?

We query the models via their programming interfaces. The providers' apps sometimes also use web search, location and history, so individual answers may differ. The report discloses the methodology.

How do AI models find and assess a company?

Less by keyword density than by context, machine readability for AI crawlers such as GPTBot or ClaudeBot, and mentions in trustworthy sources.

What role do llms.txt and JSON-LD play?

JSON-LD (Schema.org) describes your company in a structured, machine-readable way; llms.txt is a compact text file for AI systems. Both can help convey facts correctly – but an effect on individual models cannot be guaranteed.

What is an AI hallucination in a brand context?

Models sometimes repeat incorrect or outdated details – addresses, prices, services. The report checks the answers against your block of facts and lists discrepancies.

How quickly do measures take effect?

Systems with web search can pick up changes comparatively quickly; models without web search only with new training data. Monitoring makes changes visible over time.

In which languages and markets do you test?

In German and English, globally or for specific markets such as Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the United Kingdom and the USA.

How do you handle my data?

We only process the information required for the audit. Payment is handled by Stripe; reports are provided via personal, time-limited download links.

Does GEO lead to more qualified enquiries?

No one can seriously guarantee that. But AI recommendations arise in an advisory context – being named there reaches prospects at a late stage of their decision.

What happens if you ignore the topic?

Nothing immediate. But the more research runs through AI assistants, the more enquiries go to the providers named in the answers.
